Through our Beijing representative office, CCQS is very active in Notified Body EC Type Examination of Chinese manufactured vehicle servicing lifts. China is a major exporter of vehicle lifts to the EU. Vehicle Lifts are Machinery Directive Annex IV equipment.

Although there is a harmonised C type standard, EN 1493:2010 Vehicle Lifts many vehicle lifts have features not fully covered by the standard, so Notified Body certification is required. EU Buyers also like the re-assurance of independent certification.

Our engineers have a lot of experience in performing the functional and load testing required and in the EU, CCQS provides input to the work of the committees which write and interpret EN 1493.
